Individual wellbeing is also dependent on the wellbeing of the community. Albums such as this illustrate the way in which the Chinese government recorded information on the numerous minorities that existed within their Empire. It was considered important for the smooth running of the country, to have an understanding and empathy with all those who lived within its borders.
