Selected Sanskrit MSS in the Wellcome Library
From this page it is possible to order microfilm copies of selected Sanskrit manuscripts in the Wellcome Library.
For fuller details of the manuscripts in this list, enquiries about subjects, bibliographical references, illustrations, etc., see A Handlist of the Sanskrit and Prakrit Manuscripts in the Library of the Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine, vol. 1, by Dominik Wujastyk (London, 1985), which gives brief descriptions of the 1000 manuscripts listed below. Volume 2 of the
Handlist, also describing about 1000 manuscripts, was published in early 1998. Additionally see Catalogue of Jyotiṣa manuscripts in the Wellcome Library : Sankrit Astral and mathematical literature by David Pingree (Brill, 2004).
The Handlist volumes may be consulted in the Wellcome Library, or purchased via the Wellcome Trust website.

Prices
If ordering microfilm, you will be sent positive black and white 35mm film, and billed at £0.40 per exposure.
If a microfilm copy of the manuscript already exists, it is possible to order positive 35mm microfilm or paper copies taken from the existing microfilm, at a cost of £0.40 per frame or A4 copy. If you require this service, please tick the appropriate box on the ordering form.
Digital reproductions can be ordered if a microfilm copy of the manuscript already exists. Quotes for digital reproductions can be obtained from the Medical Photographic Library ( medphoto@wellcome.ac.uk).
Delivery
The microfilm or paper copy will be sent to you by post at the address you have specified, together with a copyright declaration which must be signed and returned.
