Viewing the texts
Viewing these texts requires a Macromedia Shockwave plug-in of version 8.5 or above. If you do not already have this installed, the latest free plug-in may be downloaded from the Macromedia Shockwave Player Download Center.
(Texts can also be viewed as non-Shockwave standard web pages.)
There are two Shockwave versions of each text, one suitable for those accessing the site via a broadband connection, and the other suitable for those accessing via a modem (or who prefer to use an 800 × 600 screen resolution):
Broadband/high resolution version
broadband internet connection
at least 1024 × 768 screen resolution
minimum 128MB RAM
56K modem/low resolution version
(or 800 × 600 screen resolution)
minimum 64MB RAM
Click either the narrowband version or broadband version link next to the description of each text to download the most appropriate version.
Texts may take up to 90 seconds to download and will open in a new browser window.

Non-Shockwave versions of Turning the Pages texts
We have created a non-Shockwave version of each text. Access these by clicking the 'non-Shockwave' link next to the description of a text.
Standard web pages are used to present images from the manuscripts and accompanying text. The text can be listened to by clicking Audio at the bottom of each page.
You will need RealPlayer installed to listen to the audio files. The basic version of Real Player is free to download.
