known owners: 1. Patriarch Cyril; F. Ḥadd?d and H.H.
Biesterfeld (Catalogue no.7) cannot exactly identify the person and
refer to three Patriarchs of the Church of Antioch called
Cyril: Kīrillūs b. az-Za`īm (1672~-- 1720),
Kīrillūs VI Ṭ?n?s (1724~-- 1759) and Kīrillūs
Siy?ǧ (1794~-- 1796). However the handwriting in the MS is
identical to that found in the St.-Petersburg autograph of
Kīrillūs b. az-Za`īm (B 1227.45), 2. Fol.1a, 64a Mathew,
the monk, the physician, who gave the book in the remembrance to his
pupil Iskandar Niqūl? al-B?rūdī, 3. S?mī
Ibr?hīm Ḥadd?d (1986). |
